VR Brawler Haymaker Launches Character Update and Targets SteamVR
PCVR players won't know what hit them!
Kansas City, US, 10th February 2025 - Riding high on its current 'Top Seller' status on Meta Quest, Haymaker developer Console Studios is proud to announce the next major milestones for the VR brawler. Haymaker will be expanding with more content, as well as bringing support to SteamVR headsets later this Spring!
Having continually added monthly updates to Haymaker since its Early Access launch in November 2025, Console Studios is gearing up to welcome more players into the Haymaker fold. The team are prepping for a Spring 2026 launch on SteamVR, with complete content parity with the Meta Quest version. On its future roadmap for Steam, the studio also plans to implement improved graphical features and dynamic lighting.
Furthermore, Console Studios has now launched the next content update for Haymaker. Expanding upon the already popular Sandbox mode, players will be able to customise the fights even further, tailoring each street fight to their exact requirements. Players will also be able to fight a range of new character designs. Greatly expanding the variety and scope of each no-holds-barred fight!
"The game's reception has been great, and I'm doing my best to keep up with player feedback," says James Console, Console Studios founder. "I've got so much that I plan on adding, and thanks to Haymaker's success and the forthcoming SteamVR edition, I'm increasing the studio's headcount as well."
Hinting at further upcoming content, the studio plans to add an MMA-style Octagon location alongside a new tournament mode. The two will complement each other, highlighting the raw combat Haymaker is known for.
