Clean Up Earth Launches on Kickstarter: A Relaxing Co-op Game Turning Virtual Cleanups into Real-World Impact

Paris, France, January 22nd, 2026

Magic Pockets, an independent game studio based in France, today announced the launch of its Kickstarter campaign for Clean Up Earth, a relaxing and satisfying clean-up game where players restore polluted environments and help fund real-world environmental action — simply by playing.

Designed as a cozy, cooperative experience, Clean Up Earth invites players to clean polluted landscapes, recycle waste, rebuild ancient structures, and watch nature and wildlife gradually return. The game can be enjoyed solo for a calm and mindful experience, in co-op with close friends, or as part of large-scale community cleanups involving dozens of players (up to 30 on vast areas).

At its core, Clean Up Earth delivers a positive and accessible message: small actions matter, and collective effort can make a difference.

"We didn't want to create a game about guilt or fear, because we believe change begins with willingness, not fear" Eric Zmiro, founder of Magic Pockets said. "We wanted to create a game about hope — one that feels good to play, encourages cooperation, and shows that even small gestures can add up when shared."

Beyond its relaxing gameplay, Clean Up Earth introduces a unique feature: in-game cleanups can contribute to real environmental initiatives. During December 2025, Magic Pockets partnered with Jingle Jam in support of WWF conservation efforts to test this donation system live for the first time — successfully raising funds through collective in-game actions. This feature will continue to evolve as part of the full game experience.

The Kickstarter campaign aims to fund additional content, features, and polish — including new environments, expanded cooperative gameplay, and deeper world-building — while keeping development focused on accessibility, comfort, and meaningful play.

A playable demo is already available on Steam, allowing players to experience the core gameplay loop ahead of the campaign. Early Bird rewards will be available for the first backers when the campaign goes live.

Clean Up Earth will be available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) in Q2 2026, with the console launch dates to be confirmed following the Kickstarter campaign. For more information, visit the official website and follow the game on Twitter/X.
