A Fully Playable, Handcrafted Adventure Built Entirely with the Same Tools Available in the Beloved Dungeon Maker
Cologne, Germany (August 22, 2025) | Today at gamescom, storied gaming publisher Apogee Entertainment showcased a first look at the single-player story campaign coming to its popular action-adventure dungeon maker Quest Master when it exits Steam Early Access later this year. This exciting, handcrafted adventure will introduce an entirely new experience to the game, complementing Quest Master's thousands of community-crafted dungeons, level editor, and multiplayer modes.
Since Quest Master's initial release on Steam Early Access in May 2024, players have utilized the game's seven unique elemental dungeon themes to create over 5,000 unique community-crafted dungeons and counting in Dungeon Maker. When released, players will turn a new page on the world of Aetheria and delve deeper than ever before into the game's lore through a brand new Campaign — complete with a fully-realized Castle Town packed with NPCs and plenty to see, as well as a brand-new, full-length original soundtrack that lends a fresh musical accompaniment inspired by the music players have come to know and love in Dungeon Maker.
"Quest Master is two games in one," said Jeron Moore, Game Director and Executive Producer at Apogee Entertainment. "On one hand, it's a robust dungeon-building platform powered by community creativity and endless replayability. On the other hand, it's a story-rich adventure filled with memorable characters, layered mysteries, and a world that grows deeper the more you explore."
