Following the launch of Far Cry 5 on March 27, the season pass will keep you fighting, and not just against any regular old enemies. Season pass holders will get three new adventures in three all new, unique settings.
Hours of Darkness will take players back in time to Vietnam, where you can battle it out against Việt Cộng soldiers, and what game in the universe would be complete without letting you shoot zombies in the face? Dead Living Zombies brings players to a bunch of b-movie scenarios (awesome) to face off against hordes of the bloodthirsty undead. Finally, Lost on Mars will take you to, well, friggin Mars, where you can shoot as many aliens as possible.
Additionally, all Far Cry 5 Season Pass owners playing on Xbox One or PS4 will receive the single-player content from Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, and you'll be able to (re)play this old gem a full month before anyone else. Except the thousands of people who have already played it, of course.
Set in America for the first time in the franchise, Far Cry 5 gives players total freedom (as usual) to navigate a serene-looking, yet deeply twisted world as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden's Gate, igniting a violent takeover of the county. Under siege and cut off from the rest of the world, players will join forces with residents of Hope County and form the Resistance, then start shooting everyone to pieces.
The standard game is $60, with the gold edition requiring you to pony up $90. The extra $30 gives you the base game, the season pass and some in-game cosmetic items.
Far Cry 5 releases on March 27th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
