The Occultist reveals its haunting cinematic launch trailer

A descent into memory, guilt, and what refuses to stay buried

Hamburg, Germany – April 2, 2026 – The cinematic launch trailer for The Occultist centers on Alan Rebels, voiced by Doug Cockle (e.g. The Witcher series). In a quiet bar, he sits over his notes, unable to escape the memories of Godstone.

Blending cinematic in-engine sequences with fragmented memories and personal notes, the trailer frames the island not just as a place, but as a presence. The footage offers a focused look at the game's psychological tension, where exploration and narrative are tightly intertwined.

Alan Rebels is brought to life by Doug Cockle, known for his role as Geralt in The Witcher game series. His performance reinforces the game's character-driven approach, grounding the unfolding events in a personal and increasingly oppressive perspective.

The Occultist will release on April 8, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
