Athens, Greece, March 26th, 2026 | Indie developer SOTO Game Studio is excited to announce that the demo for their debut game, Luminas: Parasite Reign, is now available on Steam. The game will also be released in early access later this year. Packed with lovable creatures called 'Lumina,' this roguelite combines horde survivor mechanics with team-based party building. The land of Solaris has been corrupted by parasites, and now you must lead your team of Luminas through endless waves to restore their homeland. Form your party, select different abilities, learn passive effects, and discover new Lumina, each with powerful evolutions!
Where Horde Survivor Meets the Adorable
Start each run by selecting your favorite Lumina, like Pyropeep the dragon or Shelly the Turtle, all creatures full of light and special powers. Search the map for hidden chests and awaken other Luminas to form a three-member party. As new Lumina join your party, select from each of their unique elemental abilities and upgrades to deal increasingly devastating damage, wide offensive blows, or buffs to support your overall team. Journey across Solaris, from meadows and volcanic craters to icy glaciers, facing new parasitic encounters and arena boss fights. All Luminas will eventually evolve, gaining new traits and stat improvements that will enhance their overall power. How you assemble your party will influence your future build upgrades, so choose carefully!
Spellbind Powerful Synergy Combos
Maximize your Luminas' powers by experimenting with various party compositions to learn various spell synergies. As you level up, learn new spell combinations to create powerful synergies that will reveal entirely new and rare spells. Between runs, take a break at the village to purchase treasure that can be equipped for add-on effects, and stop by each Lumina's hub to upgrade their skill trees. Use multiple skill tree upgrades to take a balanced approach to your party's abilities, or focus on a specific area for more targeted builds. Through mixing and matching equipment and Luminas, you will uncover the ultimate crew!
